I am very new to owning a group!! I a little nervous I took over a group The Secret Sister. I made it a little more risky for the Modern Woman , since there are a lot of women that are not just a stay at home woman.

I know I am going to make some mistakes... so I probably will be asking a lot of stupid questions.

I didn't find the information for backgrounds very good. And ditto the add ons.

I tried to add backgrounds from shaggy blogs, but na da. Also, I tried to add a kalidescope slide show from slide.com and na da. Why aren't they compatable with Gather?

I have started a group about weight loss. I would love to put my RSS feed from Blogger in the RSS box. Everything I have tried yielded no positive results. I followed the instructions like it said but nothing worked. I put other RSS feeds there to see if they would work but no luck. What do I need to change to make it work?

I have a question, I have a group I have started it in hopes of getting people involved, and just informing others on all types of abuses,(my main passion is on Domestic Violence this goes for any abuse on spouse/partner/ child/ boyfriend/girlfriend etc) however it is open to all, to help others its not just about abuse but to bring hope and hopefulllllyy help to some people that might need it... all starting with asimple smile..... ok so to my questions:

I see alot of posts from other groups giving points for contests and such, how is one able to do that, what is needed for this.

And since im new to almost all aspects what would anyone and everyone sug. I do to make my group better Im updating it when something hits me but honestly Im not sure........I thank you.... oh the group is called Bringing Hope Home.....

I am having the same problem with Phantom Posts on my Your Wits End - Contests and Games group! For the last 3 or 4 days I have been showing 3 items beside "manage content" but nothing is there. How can this be fixed?

I am still having a problem of "phantom" posts to my group. I show 17 more pending posts to approve than are actually there. Also, the top feature article in the list shows up twice. I have done the "tweaks" that have been suggested but to no avail. Jennifer, I appreciated your sympathetic initial response by email, but have not yet received any guidance on how to iron out these "quirks". I like the new changes, except for the feature "feature", which does not have the powerful visual appeal that the original "magazine" format provided. ~Natalie

Tanya, I too had that problem in Firefox where I could not drop and drag the modules, so I switched over to Internet Explorer. Let me ask our Dev Team about this.

I found this last evening under the tip section and the group is a blessing, I was able to add some nice updating widgets to my groups. and backgrounds and everything. Thanks gather!

Looks good, hope it works. I like all the controls in one place , eliminater a lot of unnecessary navigation .
I have not gotten notifications when somebody joined one of my groups for a LONG time , lets see if things actually work as nice as they look now ?

I've found that I am unable to drag and drop the modules in my groups if I'm using my Firefox browser. I'm forced to use Internet Explorer. Is there a fix for this, so that I can use Firefox for this job?
